You'll have an unforgettable time in the friendly town of Lucerne.
Lucerne, Town of culture and Art of Living
Whether opera or theatre, contemporary dance or cabaret, technological rarities about the history of transport, valuable Piccasso and Klee paintings (or a huge circular painting), the record-breaking and the droll, concerts and festivals, classical, modern, world music or folklore? Lucerne has the right programme for everyone's taste.
Carnival
Every year at the end of the winter carnival breaks out in the streets and squares of the old-town. A glittering festival, in which chaos and joie de vivre rule. Droll figures with imaginative masks and costumes proceed through the streets, the "Guggenmusic" bands blast out a march and thousands of strangely-clothed people dance and bid winter farewell.
