How to get to Wengen and Mürren
Travelling from Bern please take the Motorway (A8). Take direction Interlaken Ost/Luzern and use the first exit after the tunnel to Wilderswil then follow the road to Lauterbrunnen. When you travel from Luzern and Brünig please also take the exit to Wilderswil.
In Lauterbrunnen there is parking at the entrance of the village on the left (reservations can be made for 4 days and more, the Hotel where you stay can reserve it for you if you indicate them your car number and type). When this parking is available - drive in and park your car, get a trolley by the elevator (put in a coin of 2 CHF or 2 Euro or contact the staff if you have no coins available) and put your luggage on it. The elevator takes you to the 7th floor which connects to the railway platform. There is a ticket machine on the platform (takes CHF and credit cards) or you also can buy your ticket at the ticket office (cross over the rails) the ticket desk is open until 20.00. On the platform you will also find a pay free phone (Hotel Reservation) to call your Hotel and to inform them about your arrival time at Wengen, so that they can pick you up.
If the parking is full, please drive your car to the train station first and unload it, then drive on to the parking at the church or further on and park your car. The post bus will take you free of charge back to the train station.
The train leaves Lauterbrunnen to Wengen every 30 minutes, from 8:30 pm every hour until 2:40 am. The train ride takes 14 minutes.
