Just a faint rumbling gives away what is happening inside the mountain. When you come out of the rocky passages and see the Trummelbach Falls, you feel the cooling spray on your face and wonder at the way the rocks and the water work together. If you want to explore the upper Lauterbrunnen valley (UNESCO), with its waterfalls, candlelight hotels and glaciers, you will need to get your walking boots on.
